So, I've given it alot of thought, and I really do believe that Adobe should bypass Flex 4. I know it's been previewed at MAX and stuff, but it really needs to go. By the looks of the timeline, it won't come out until long After the next release of Creative Suite. So, that would make it two versions behind. The Flex 3 came out as a CS3 product and Flex 4 will be CS5? I don't know. IT really has to go.
Should Adobe bypass Flex 4?

Flex isn't actualy part of the Creative Suite, (which in itself was quite annoying after buying Master Collection)so I don't see any reason not to progress to version 4, whenever that might be. It would be "neat", but then it's running AS3 on AVM2 and AIR 1.5.1, so the neatness would end there!
Your right, it is not part of Creative Suite. However, Flex 3 is integrated into Creative suite 3, however little. It integrates with Photoshop and Fireworks. So, I figure that Flex 4 should integrate with some version of Creative Suite, but not CS5.
I think you don't know "Flash Catalyst"?
No, I don't.
Please do more homework before posting an article. Please only post when you assured the information is true and correct, not turning into an EDWM.
Perhaps, James, you should take this time to educate rather than deride.
How about... Pop on over to Labs and take a look. You might not be so quick to dismiss Flex 4.
